CeramicSpeed OSPW RS Derailleur Alpha Disc for SRAM RED/Force AXS

Sale price20,900 ฿

With the introduction of the Oversized Pulley Wheel system (OSPW) in 2015, CeramicSpeed has set standards in modern cycling. And with the Racing Sport (RS) models, the Danish-based manufacturer of high-quality hybrid bearings is once again at the forefront when it comes to taking the next step towards the future. A visibly updated design, innovative technical functions and more customization options are intended to provide a premium riding experience with the OSPW RS system, which combines the efficiency-enhancing properties of its predecessor with even greater balance and sophistication.

Technical details of the CeramicSpeed OSPW RS system

  • derailleur pulleys: aluminum with composite teeth, Alpha Disc design
  • bearings: hybrid (ceramic balls + stainless steel cups), handmade
  • cage: carbon fiber reinforced polyamide (PA), injection molded
  • tooth count: 15/19 (upper/lower pulley)
  • spring tension: adjustable (2 levels)
  • weight: approx. 101 g (manufacturer's specification)

With its modern look characterized by clear edges, the OSPW RS derailleur pulley system from CeramicSpeed fits seamlessly into the contemporary design trends of current bicycles and groupsets. However, the revised construction not only looks good, but also increases strength and durability thanks to the reinforced cage  for achieving an even higher level of quality.

On a functional level, the handmade OSPW system, consisting of a cage and an upper and lower pulley, remains true to itself. The combination of sophisticated technology and extremely low-friction hybrid bearings makes it possible to noticeably improve the overall efficiency of the drivetrain. In addition, the spring tension, which can be adjusted in 2 stages, enables an individual setup tailored to the riding conditions.

In order to guarantee the efficient performance of its derailleur pulleys over the long term, CeramicSpeed has already introduced two technical innovations with the OSPW X system for Eagle Transmission rear derailleurs, which can now also provide long-term protection against contamination and wear on the RS models on request.

The patent-pending ADR technology uses a new type of dust cover that is securely anchored in a groove in the derailleur pulley to completely enclose the bearing and protect it from dirt ingress. Meanwhile, the ALPHA concept relies on a disc-shaped derailleur pulley with a two-piece construction. The separate Narrow/Wide tooth profile is made of a special composite material to provide greater wear protection and reduce noise. The disc itself is made of solid aluminum, which not only increases rigidity and durability, but also prevents foreign bodies from getting stuck. What both technologies have in common is competition testing in off-road use, which successfully demonstrates their ability to effectively keep out mud and dirt even under the most adverse conditions.

CeramicSpeed products with ADR technology are covered by a lifetime warranty. The detailed warranty conditions can be found at www.ceramicspeed.com.
