The dimensions, padding, and rails of this iconic saddle have all evolved to create an entirely new legend.
The new SLR has been modernised with a shorter 242mm length. This is just 2mm off the UCI limit and has been developed to improve riders' efficiency. The saddle widths remain the same to give riders a familiar feel. The S is 130mm x 242mm and the L is 145mm x 242mm.
Weight and stiffness can make all the difference on race day. That's why we've created a new rail that uses a carbon lay-up system that is lighter and stiffer than before. We've also changed the shape of the rail so that it connects further back on the shell and better absorbs vibrations from the road.
Every design decision needs to make sense, so we utilised idmatch to identify precisely where riders' contact points are and optimised the design to place padding only in these areas. No more carrying excess weight, yet no more wishing for extra padding.
